Plant origin: Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Latin name: Gynostemma Pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino) is a perennial herbaceous vine in the Cucurbitaceae family. In China, it is mainly distributed in Pingli, Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Guangxi and other provinces in Shaanxi.
