【Plant source】: Astragalus, perennial herb, 50-100 cm tall. The taproot is thick, woody, often branched, grayish-white. The stem is erect, multi-branched above, finely edged, and covered with white pubescence. It is produced in Northeast, North China and Northwest China. It grows on the edge of forests, shrubs or under sparse forests, and is also found in hillside meadows or meadows, and is cultivated throughout the country and is one of the commonly used Chinese medicinal herbs.
