Astragalus contains sucrose, glucuronic acid, astragalus polysaccharides A, B, C, D, mucus, a variety of amino acids, bitters, astragalus saponins, betaine, choline, folic acid (65 μg/100g dry root), flavanic compounds and contains selenium, silicon, zinc, cobalt, copper, molybdenum and other trace elements.
