【Plant origin】: Dried mature seeds of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. Born on the slopes of Xiangyang Mountain and roadsides, it is mainly produced in Henan, Hebei, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Shanxi, Shandong, Yunnan and other places. Harvest the fruits when ripe in autumn, remove the pulp and hard core, take the seeds, and use them raw or lightly stir-fried. Sour jujube kernels are oblate oval, 5~7mm long, 5~7mm wide, 2~3mm thick, reddish brown to purple-brown. The seed coat is brittle and hard, may have cracks, slight air, and light taste.
